Canteen Menu
The core of the school menu is the above Primary Canteen Menu. Secondary pupils can have hot items at morning break and additional items such as soup, baked potato, toasties are available at lunchtime - our canteen team keep the daily noticeboard in the canteen updated with choices and changes.
Free School Meals
In Scotland, all children in primary years P1–P5 receive free school meals automatically. For children in other year groups or those from low-income families, you can apply for free school meals and clothing grants through the Comhairle nan Eilean Siar (CNES) website using their online application form.
Eligibility and Application
Automatic Provision: Children in P1 through P5 attend state-funded schools in Scotland and receive free school meals universally, regardless of household income.
Applying for Other Years: Families with children in other year groups may be eligible if they receive certain benefits, such as Universal Credit, Income Support, or income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance.
How to Apply: The fastest and preferred way to apply is via the Comhairle nan Eilean Siar online form. You may need to provide evidence of your benefits, so it is helpful to have these details ready before starting the application.

Paying For Meals
School Meals are paid via Parent Pay. You will receive an application form when you enrol your child in school. Once an application form has been processed you will receive log in details.
Pupils can request a PIN for their canteen account from the school office
Negative balances are invoiced by CNES
Account issues are dealt with directly via Parent Pay
Accounts can be topped up online or at local PayPoint stations
Alerts can be enabled on accounts which notify you when a top-up is required
