Dear Parent/Carer,
I write to you as we prepare for the visit of HMIe. A team of 6 Inspectors will be visiting the school this week, along with a further 2 inspectors online. We are looking forward to welcoming the team and hope they see the best of all our pupils across Primary and Secondary. Thank you to parents who are giving their time to come and meet with inspectors also, and to all the partner organisations involved throughout the week.
Can we please request that pupils are wearing their uniform every day this week, including formal uniforms for S6 pupils.
Please note, there will be significant changes to the canteen menu effective from tomorrow, Monday 17th March. This is not a school decision - it is made by the central catering team and is therefore outwith our control.
The main changes are as follows:
Primary and Secondary lunch options will be the same - there will be no toasties available for Secondary pupils at lunchtimes.
Soup and Sandwiches will only be available on Monday and Fridays as an alternative to the main meals.
Bacon rolls will not be served at morning break (though Black Pudding rolls, and rolls made with chicken sausages will be available on some days, as will steak bakes).
Please see the menu below:
Message from the Parent Council:
We would like to encourage all parents of pupils at Sir E Scott to join the Parent Forum Facebook group Sir E Scott 3-18 School Parent Forum. This is used for reminders about events and fundraisers, and to keep parents informed about our efforts to support school activities. This group is for parents/guardians/staff. Please encourage interested friends and relatives to follow the main school page Sir E Scott School which is the best place to find photos and general school news. Thank you!

Sir E Scott S4-6 Study Support Programme
Term 3
We would highly recommend that pupils attend as many of these study support classes as possible, as it will assist with consolidation of existing course work and lead to improvements in pupils overall academic achievement and progress at school.
As part of the study support programme, we will provide all pupils attending
the after-school sessions with a healthy snack.
Please note that we are not able to arrange transport for pupils returning home. However, if transportation is a barrier to your child attending then please do get in touch with Mr Johnson to discuss this matter further.
